Spiral-Formed and Straight-Seam Construction

We stock both spiral-formed and straight (longitudinal-seam) GI round pipe. Spiral duct is the preferred choice for long straight duct runs — the helical seam adds rigidity per kilogram of sheet metal compared to straight-seam pipe, meaning a lighter gauge can carry the same structural load while reducing the number of joints (and therefore leak paths) along a riser. Straight-seam pipe remains the practical choice for short branch connections, transition pieces, and site conditions where a straight-seam section is easier to fabricate on-site.

Manufactured to SMACNA / DW144 Standards

All GI round pipe is manufactured to SMACNA and DW144 ductwork construction standards, with gauge thickness selected per diameter following standard pressure-class tables. Smaller diameters up to roughly 300mm are typically supplied in 26 gauge, mid-range diameters step up to 24 gauge, and larger risers or higher-pressure applications are supplied in 22 gauge or heavier. Every section is manufactured with the correct wall thickness for its intended duct pressure class — undersized gauge on a large-diameter riser is a common cause of duct oil-canning and vibration noise, and our team checks diameter, gauge, and pressure class together before cutting.

Standard Lengths and Custom Cutting

Standard stock lengths are 1.2m and 3m, with custom-cut lengths available for non-standard riser heights or branch runs. All sections are compatible with standard slip, coupling, and flanged duct connections used across UAE mechanical contracting practice. For active MEP sites, we offer same-day cutting and dispatch on standard diameters and next-day delivery on custom-cut orders, so ducting materials arrive on schedule with the rest of the mechanical installation sequence.
